IRMA Marker In Winchester, Indiana
Erected July 4th 2014
July 4th was not only a great celebration of our country's birth, but a day of celebration for IRMA as well. Because, at Winchester Speedway, we dedicated the first of our race themed historic markers. Winchester is celebrating it's 100th anniversary this year, and we were thrilled to be a part of the celebration during the 4th of July weekend. Many thanks to Winchester Mayor Steve Croyle and the community of Winchester for their support of our efforts. We are particularly proud to have accomplished the development and placement of the Winchester Marker in only the seventh month since IRMA was formed. We look forward to telling the story of Indiana's rich history in motor sports in other locations in the not-too-distant future. We've also launched a new website to compliment our Facebook page: www.indianaracing.org. We would enjoy hearing from you for ideas about who or what we need to honor in Indiana racing, and if you would like to help financially in the placement of future markers, contact us here, or on our website. CONGRATULATIONS, WINCHESTER SPEEDWAY!
