Marker Summary
If you mean the 1978 USAC plane crash, nine people were killed, including seven United States Auto Club officials, a USAC doctor, and the aircraft’s pilot, Don Mullendore. The victims were Ray Marquette, Frankie DelRoy, Stan Worley, Shim Malone, Don Peabody, Judy Phillips, Ross Teeguarden, Bruce White, and Mullendore. The crash occurred on April 23, 1978, after they were returning from a USAC race at Trenton International Speedway, and it remains one of the darkest tragedies in USAC history.
