On May 23rd, IRMA, in conjunction with the Town of Brownsburg, will unveil a historic marker honoring Rodger. The event will begin at 4:30pm. This is Carb Day, but track activities will be over. For those going to IRP, the ceremony will conclude in ample time for you to make the all the many racing events in town.
The Ward family will be in attendance, along with the Voice of the 500, Paul Page, Merle Bettenhausen, Johnny Parsons Jr, and other special guests.
The marker is part of the Brownsburg Memorial Racing Trail. You can access the site from the Landing Apartments (9906 Runway Dr, Indianapolis). You can park there and walk an easy few hundred feet to the site. There will be signs to direct you, and a golf cart will be available for those who need to ride.
